The main attraction of Dubrovnik, its Old town can be visited in 1-2 days but this destination does offer so much more. We do recommend spending at least 4 days in Dubrovnik. This would allow you enough time to really explore the city, and provide for a day trip to Montenegro and enough time to relax on one the beautiful beaches Croatia offers.
Is Dubrovnik safe?
Yes, absolutely! Of course we should always use common sense but Dubrovnik is one of safest cities in Croatia. Although it was crowded during the day at times, never did we feel unsafe or being targets for pickpockets or anything of that sort of petty theft. We found ourselves walking back from the old city to our hotel around 10pm one night and felt completely safe doing so.
How do you get to Dubrovnik?
The most common way to get to Dubrovnik would be to fly into its main airport, (DBV) Dubrovnik Ruđer Bošković Airport located about 30 minutes from the city center. Another way would be to come from Split or Montenegro. You can either drive, take a bus (FlixBus) or even consider using the country’s Ferry transportation system if traveling during the summer season.
